Communication with Classroom Teachers
Parents are encouraged to make direct contact with classroom teachers to deal with matters of concern. Messages and emails can be sent via the Compass App, please see the Compass page for step by step videos on how to communicate with Teachers.
For quick matters, before or after school are ideal times. For more involved matters, a meeting time will need to be made with the teacher. Any parent wishing to discuss concerns with the Executive Team regarding their child’s teacher should have addressed the concerns with the teacher first.
Please keep the teacher informed of anything that may impact on the child’s emotional wellbeing at school. This allows the teacher to be proactive and support your child through difficult situations.
Seesaw
At Allendale Primary School, we use Seesaw to share the teaching and learning happening in your child’s classroom and for parents to be able to view their children’s work. It is important for parents and caregivers to be connected to their child/ren’s Seesaw journals.
You can download the Seesaw App from the App or Google Play stores for free. To connect to your child’s account please complete this short form, you can also see your child’s teacher for a QR code or email allendale.ps.admin@edcucation.wa.edu.au with your child’s name and your name, and we will send you a link to connect.
