The use of Student Mobile Phones are banned in all public schools. Bringing a mobile phone to school is discouraged, however we do understand that students’ travel requirements before/after school requires them to have access to a phone. If mobile phones are brought to school, they are to be handed in at the office from the time of the student’s arrival at school, and can be collected prior to their departure from school. The school cannot accept any responsibility for theft or loss of mobile phones brought onto school grounds. Students who are found to bring phones to school and not hand them in will have phones placed securely in the office and returned at the end of the day.
Students using smartwatches will need to have them placed into ‘aeroplane mode’ (or school mode) so calls and messages cannot be sent or received during the school day.
Please see here a link to the Education Department’s policy on student mobile phones.
Parents / carers please complete this form if your child brings a mobile phone to school.
